Members of The Independent Theater Bloggers Association, founded this year by forward-thinking producer Ken Davenport, recently voted on awards to honor the best productions this past season. I’m delighted to be a member of the ITBA – by now you can find all other members’ sites in my Blogroll – and I’m especially pleased that the organization, which Davenport formed to “provide a structure to the quickly growing theatrical blogosphere”, is honoring not only Broadway but also off and off-off work. Any organization that kicks off citing Flux Theatre Ensemble for excellence alongside high-profile hits like Billy Elliot and Hair is on the right track.
